Coldwell Banker franchise affiliate acquires d’aprile properties

The acquisition expands Coldwell Banker’s presence in the Midwest

Leading Coldwell Banker franchise affiliate Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group has acquired d’aprile properties, according to an announcement on Friday.

Founded in 2011 by broker-owner Ryan D’Aprile in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood, d’aprile properties currently serves Greater Chicagoland, Wisconsin and Indiana. The firm has 11 offices and more than 380 affiliate sales professionals.

“This groundbreaking acquisition solidifies the Coldwell Banker brand presence in this marketplace and is indicative of the power of our network,” Liz Gehringer, president of Coldwell Banker Affiliate Business and chief operating officer of Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, said in a statement. “There is significant strength behind our Coldwell Banker franchisees, their broker owners and the companies they acquire. When they stand as a united front with our company-owned operations under our iconic Coldwell Banker banner, they are an indomitable sales force.”

In 2021, d’aprile properties closed nearly $1.2 billion in sales volume and was ranked at No. 369 in the 2022 RealTrends 500 rankings.

Currently led by CEO Mike Prodehl, Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group was founded in 1984 and began its affiliation with Coldwell Banker in 1997. Today the firm has more than 1,700 agents across 60 offices throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Michigan.

Though this acquisition, Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group will grow to 70 offices with more than 2,000 affiliated sales professionals across four states.

In 2021, Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group closed more than $5 billion in sales volume and ranked at No. 59 in the 2022 RealTrends 500 rankings.

When combined, Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group, d’aprile properties and the company-owned operations of Coldwell Banker Realty in Greater Chicagoland, Coldwell Banker represented more than $13.6B in sales volume in 2021, according to RealTrends data.
