Compass NorCal gets new leader

Kevin Patsel promoted to regional vice president, filing vacancy left by Anita Head

Compass has a new leader for its lucrative Northern California market. Kevin Patsel was recently named the regional vice president for Compass’ Northern California operation. The role had been vacant since the retirement of Anita Head.

Patsel’s appoint was effective as of the first of the year and he will report to Wendy Forsythe, the president of Compass California and Hawaii.

“I’m excited to welcome Kevin into this critical leadership role for Compass California,” Forsythe said in a statement. “His industry experience, business savvy, and ability to help our staff and agent entrepreneurs grow makes him the ideal choice. I’m confident the team will continue to flourish with Kevin’s direction and vision.”

In this role, Patsel, an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience, will oversee more than 5,000 agents and the sales management team across the region from Tahoe to Monterey, including Wine Country, San Francisco and Silicon Valley.

Prior to this promotion, Patsel, who joined Compass in 2018, had served as managing director for Northern California at Compass, as well as being the firm’s first sales manager in the San Francisco Bay Area.

“My focus will be to continue to enhance the culture of our agent community and make Compass one of the best places to work for our employees,” Patsel said in a statement. “This new role is an extension of what I’ve been doing at Compass and what I love to do.”

Before joining Compass, Patsel served as sales manager in Marin for Vanguard Properties and in that same capacity earlier for Coldwell Banker.
