United Real Estate Group is merging with Platinum Realty, according to an announcement on Tuesday. This latest merger adds 2,100 real estate agents to United’s agent roster, bringing its total agent count across its expanding national footprint to nearly 20,000.
Based in the Midwest and founded by Scott DeNeve, Platinum has 13 offices in five states (Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa) and across seven different markets.
“Under Scott’s leadership, the Platinum Realty team has proven that they have aligned values, and most importantly, they have a strong culture centered around the outcomes of their affiliated agents and constant innovation,” Dan Duffy, the CEO of United Real Estate Group said in a statement.
Platinum Realty follows the 100% commission model for its agents in the markets it covers. United also follows this commission model.
“Scott and his team built a company based on excellence and efficiency, and those key drivers have made. Platinum Realty is exceptionally proficient at providing what agents need to succeed in today’s changing real estate landscape,” said Rick Haase, president of United Real Estate.
United claims to have paid out nearly half a billion dollars more in commissions to its affiliated agents, as compared to legacy companies with traditional commission plans.
United Real Estate Group was ranked as the No.1 fastest growing independent brokerage in RealTrends 2021 rankings. In the 2022 rankings, it came in at No. 8 for both sales volume and transaction sides.
The brokerage has recently merged with Leading Edge Real Estate Group, Texas United Realty, Virtual Properties Realty, Benchmark Realty and Charles Rutenberg Realty Fort Lauderdale. United said in a press statement that it has more mergers planned in the coming months.
“I have witnessed other major independents in the U.S. align with United Real Estate Group over the past few years,” DeNeve said in a statement. “Platinum Realty will retain its brand, agent compensation plan, which is similar to United’s, and unique culture, yet gain more leverage with United’s strong national network and industry-leading technology, agent tools and services.”
