National Association of Realtors (NAR) President Kenny Parcell on Wednesday announced the appointment of Jennifer Wauhob as NAR’s vice president of association affairs for the remainder of 2023.
“Jennifer’s commitment to this profession, her agents, and to U.S. real estate more broadly are evident to everyone who has had the privilege of getting to know her,” said Parcell.
Wauhob has more than a decade of experience in the real estate markets, and is focused on the west Houston and Katy, Texas markets. She currently leads a seven-agent team at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene in Houston.
In 2022, Wauhob was the chairman of the Houston Association of Realtors, where she represented more than 50,000 NAR members at the local level. Wauhob was named a “Top 20 Under 40 Rising Star in Real Estate” by HAR in 2014, and the Texas Association of Realtors named her on a list of “11 Realtors to Watch” the same year.
“We are confident that she will represent her fellow Realtors and the millions of U.S. consumers they serve every day in this role, as she has done herself as an agent in East Texas,” Parcell said.
Wauhob was also recognized as a “5-Star Realtor” by Texas Magazine for five consecutive years and was an “Emerald Elite Award” recipient for Better Homes and Gardens, which ranked her among the top 2% of agents in the brand, according to a statement from NAR.
Wauhob is assuming the role following last month’s death of Margo Wheeler, the former VP of association affairs at NAR. Wheeler was a Realtor based in Tacoma.
“Margo has been a treasured member of the NAR family for nearly 30 years, serving in numerous volunteer roles at the local, state and national levels,” Parcell said at that time. “Within this time, she served with gracious devotion and helped advance the mission of the association, all while being a mentor and source of guidance and strength for countless others.”
