Walt Danley Christie’s International Real Estate has joined Local Luxury Real Estate to become Local Walt Danley | Christie’s International Real Estate, according to an announcement made on Thursday. The goal of the partnership is to bolster the company’s reputation as a luxury real estate market leader in Arizona.
“For us, the relationship always comes ahead of the transaction, and the values we share make this partnership an easy decision,” Local Luxury founder and broker Katrina Barrett said in a statement about the partnership. “I am looking forward to working alongside Walt and his amazing team and leveraging the Christie’s International Real Estate affiliation to give our luxury clients even greater service.”
The brokerages, which had a combined total of $700 million in sales in 2022, will now operate with 70 agents from Local Luxury and 35 agents from Walt Danley. Its offices will be based in Arcadia, Paradise Valley, and North Scottsdale, with plans of expanding into Flagstaff.
“When I started planning the firm’s next chapter, I made one phone call – and that was to Katrina,” Walt Danley, the founder of Walt Danley Christie’s International, said. “Together, we will provide unparalleled service to our clients and set the standard for luxury real estate in Phoenix.”
Through this partnership, Local Luxury will expand its portfolio of high-end properties and improve client service by leveraging Christie’s International Real Estate’s brokerage network for marketing, according to the statement.
Barrett said she expects the Local Walt Danley to have more than $1 billion in sales this year.
In 2021, The Walt Danley Group ranked second among all Arizona-based teams in RealTrends’ top real estate professionals rankings, with more than $263 million in sales volume. It ranked 22nd nationwide in the RealTrends + Tom Ferry The Thousand rankings in the top large teams by sales volume category.
