Julia Lashay Israel serves as the head of inclusion and belonging at Keller Williams. Here she advises, trains and coaches leaders, team members and agents to address diversity, equity and inclusion across the organization. In the summer of 2021, Israel designed and instructed two brand-wide DEI course workshops for KW. Upon launch of the courses, the goal was to reach 10,000 agents over the next year. As of April 2022, nearly 9,000 participants had attended them. Additionally, as a result of Israel’s efforts, over 600 KW offices have Social Equity Task Force leaders who she meets with monthly to review wins, strategies and next steps. Israel and her team have also increased the number of leadership roles held by people of color through LEAD – Pathways to Leadership. They created local community partnerships, and they penned a community partnerships playbook for their market centers to use to build meaningful relationships with organizations in the community.
