The executive shake-ups at Compass continued on Tuesday. The New York-based firm announced that Wendy Forsythe has been named president of the firm’s California, Nevada and Hawaii operations.
As regional president, Forsyth will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s operations in those regions.
”I am very excited to join the team at Compass,” Forsythe said in a statement. “California is a complex and robust market. Being a California resident for nearly a decade and active in the region’s real estate industry is a huge benefit as we navigate the current economic market. I’m looking forward to collaborating with the leadership team to drive operational excellence and continue to deliver an amazing experience for our agents.”
Forsythe, who has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate industry, most recently served as chief strategy officer at Fathom Holdings. Earlier in her career, Forsythe held senior leadership positions at HomeSmart International and Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate.
In addition, Forsythe was included on the 2023 Swanepoel Power 200 list, which ranks the most powerful and influential executives in the residential real estate brokerage industry across North America, along with Compass CEO Robert Reffkin.
“Wendy brings strong leadership experience coupled with a deep understanding of the residential real estate industry,” Reffkin said in a statement. “California, Nevada and Hawaii represent our largest market, and we are thrilled to have Wendy onboard to lead our teams and agent entrepreneurs in this key market. Her expertise and dedication to the industry are ideally suited to this important role.”
